Histoire

Le duo constitué par René-Jean Dard et François Ribo officie depuis une trentaine d’années environ dans le nord de vallée du Rhône (Mercurol), autour de trois appellations prestigieuses : Saint-Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage et Hermitage.
Plébiscité par les plus fins connaisseurs, le domaine a su s’imposer d’années en années comme une référence incontournable, proposant une véritable alternative aux cuvées généralement produites dans la région. René-Jean et François mettent en œuvre une production qui écarte les intrants chimiques aussi bien à la vigne qu’au chai. Leur philosophie consiste à rechercher l’éclat du fruit, la finesse, la subtilité et des matières légères et caressantes. Aussi, ce sont des vins déjà très agréables en jeunesse.
Le patrimoine foncier du domaine est quant à lui exceptionnel ! Jugez du peu : des vignes sur granit dans le berceau du Saint-Joseph entre Mauves et Tournon ainsi qu’à Saint-Jean de Muzols ; quelques arpents d’Hermitage et de superbes terroirs en Crozes-Hermitage sur les collines de Larnage et Crozes-Hermitage, qui se singularisent de la plaine des Chassis par la présence de granit et surtout de Kaolin (argile blanche).
Dégustations après dégustations, les blancs (à dominante de Roussanne) du domaine nous épatent. Ils présentent des équilibres préservant fraîcheur et vivacité : de quoi réconcilier un grand nombre d’amateur avec les blancs rhodaniens.

The duo of René-Jean Dard and François Ribo have been operating in the northern Rhône Valley (Mercurol) for some 30 years, around three prestigious appellations: Saint-Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage and Hermitage.
Acclaimed by the finest connoisseurs, the domaine has established itself year after year as a benchmark, offering a genuine alternative to the cuvées generally produced in the region. René-Jean and François use a production method that avoids chemical inputs, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Their philosophy is to strive for fruit radiance, finesse, subtlety and light, caressing substance. As a result, these wines are already highly enjoyable when young.
The estate’s land holdings are exceptional! A few acres of Hermitage and superb terroirs in Crozes-Hermitage on the hills of Larnage and Crozes-Hermitage, which are distinguished from the Chassis plain by the presence of granite and above all Kaolin (white clay).
Tasting after tasting, the estate’s whites (predominantly Roussanne) impress us. Their balance preserves freshness and liveliness: enough to reconcile a large number of wine-lovers with Rhone whites.

このドメーヌは、最も舌の肥えた愛好家たちから高く評価され、この地域で一般的に生産されるワインに代わる本物のワインを提供する基準として、年々その地位を確立している。ルネ＝ジャンとフランソワは、畑でもセラーでも化学薬品を一切使用せずにワインを生産している。彼らの哲学は、果実味、フィネス、繊細さ、そして軽く愛撫するような実質を追求することである。これらのワインは若いうちから非常に心地よい。

Artur Ostertag

Le Domaine Ostertag est un domaine mythique d’Alsace a retrouvé un second souffle avec l’arrivée du fils d’Andre Ostertag (précurseur du style du Domaine), Arthur, en 2018 – son premier millésime seul au commande.
Après un passage au Domaine des Comtes Lafon à Meursault, celui-ci a affiné et intensifié la démarche insufflé par son père.
Le résultat d’un travail de la vigne en biodynamie depuis vingt ans, complété par une vinification toujours précise et pure. Les magnums de vins du Domaine Ostertag présentés sur ce site sont issus directement du domaine.
